Fantastic drafting in the inaugural Campdraft Super Series held at Warwick over the past 2 days. One of their goals was “to present campdrafting as a spectacle for the viewing public by gathering the best horse and rider combinations to a single competition on good cattle.” They certainly delivered as the 3 round statistics attest.
The 2018 Willinga Park Breed for the Future Sale produced outstanding results. $289,000 gross for 17 horses, that’s an average of $17,000, essentially for buying genetics. The 2017/18 ACA Open Rider Title goes to Pete Comiskey. Pete won his first title in 1991, his 2nd in 1995 and he won every year up until 2014, except 2001 when Ben Hall took the honours, amassing 20 titles. This is how his 22nd title. What a legend!
