𝟓𝟔𝟎𝟒 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥.
Rob and Wendy Durkin’s beautiful mare, Durkin’s Jewel (by Hazelwood Conman), outshone everyone to score the only 93 (23 66 4) of the Triple Crown. Beautifully ridden by their son, Will, she performed with speed, accuracy and attitude to win the final round and the Restricted Open at Chinchilla. This was a 2nd win for Jewel and Will in this event.
Will said he has watched the run again and said it felt like he was going much faster than it appeared, such was the precision of the run.
