Beyond his good looks, Hell Blazer holds a wealth of breeding; sired by High Brow CD – American NCHA Horse of the Year and Futurity Champion, and out of Australia’s only quadruple crown winner – One Hellofa Spin. It is this depth of breeding and his quality dam line that has equipped Hell Blazer to be a leading sire of the next generation of Australian Performance Horses.
Hell Blazer began his training as a 2yo with Mat and Casey Oakley, where he became very successful in the cutting pen and grew to be ‘one of the family’ at the Oakleys, until February 2023 when then owner, Gavin Bulmer, thought it was time he started again with a younger horse – giving Hell Blazer the opportunity to find himself in the caring, professional hands of MacCallum Performance, not far down the road in Walcha NSW; where he now lives and continues his training.
While Hell Blazer will continue to excel in the cutting arena, his current owners believe he possesses the talent required to transition between other cow horse disciplines and are excited to see him develop his campdrafting career, while also utilising his talents in Cow Horse and Stockman’s Challenge events. Hell Blazer is expected to make his campdrafting debut in the coming months of Spring 2023.
The ladies of Hell Blazer Syndicate explain that they believe their stallion has what it takes to breed future champions of any cow horse discipline. “Hell Blazer has the genetics, the conformation, the temperament and the talent to breed the next generation of Cutting Futurity Champions and at the same time, the next Warwick Gold Cup winner.”
