2017 Cloncurry Stockman’s Challenge and Campdraft wrap up

The 2017 Cloncurry Stockman’s Challenge and Campdraft was a huge success with more than 1200 spectators and competitors over the 6 days, the largest amount of entries for the event to date.

Feature event, the State of Origin saw Queensland winning.

Jon Templeton from Kingaroy, Queensland riding Gennie Ann Woodall’s PETAS DESTINY took out the main prize in the Curley Cattle Transport Classic Stockman’s Challenge! It was very close competition with only 10 points between the top 15 horses going into the final.

Organisers say a highlight of this year was the fierce competition in the Juvenile, Junior and Mini Challenge and Campdraft. The youngsters showed great dedication and enthusiasm!
